Deleting your Everherd data

Last updated: 17 October 2026

What there is to delete

Everherd does not have accounts. There is no username, no password, no email address and no profile, so there is nothing to "close". What exists is:

  1. Everything on your device. Your progress, settings, the year-of-birth answer to the age question and the record of which one-time purchases you own. This is the whole game, and it never leaves the device.
  2. An anonymous player ID and a backup of your progress. The game signs in anonymously to Unity Gaming Services and periodically uploads a copy of your save file against that ID. It holds game progress only. The ID appears in the game as your Support ID.
  3. Crash reports from every player, and analytics from players at or above the age of digital consent outside the UK, the EU and Switzerland. Both are collected by Google Firebase. Analytics, and the crash reports of players at or above the age of digital consent, are labelled with your Support ID and with nothing else that identifies you.
  4. The purchase service's reports. Unity In-App Purchasing, the purchase service built into the game, reports to Unity when the game starts and around each purchase.

The Privacy Policy describes each of these in full.

Step 1: delete the app

Deleting Everherd from your device removes item 1 completely. There is no separate step and nothing to log out of.

If you want to keep playing but start again, you can also delete the app and reinstall it. A reinstall has a new player ID, so the game cannot find the old cloud copy and starts a fresh farm. (If the app stays installed and only the farm on it is lost, the game may offer the cloud copy back when it next starts; you can decline.)

Step 2: ask us to delete the cloud backup

If you would also like the anonymous player ID and the backup copy of your progress removed from our systems, email us at support@scovillegames.com with:

You can find your Support ID in the game's settings. Tapping it copies the ID to your clipboard, ready to paste into the email.

That ID is genuinely all we need, because it is all we hold. We will not ask you for your name, your email address beyond the one you write from, or anything else about you.

We will delete the backup and the player ID and confirm by reply within one month, usually much sooner. Once deleted, the backup cannot be recovered, so please make sure you no longer want that progress before you write.

If you have deleted the app and no longer have your Support ID, we cannot look the backup up, because nothing else links it to you. It holds game progress only, nothing that identifies you, and it is deleted when we stop operating the game, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Parents and guardians may make this request on behalf of a child. Send the child's Support ID in the same way; we will not ask for any information about the child.

Analytics and crash reports

Analytics events are only ever collected from players at or above the age of digital consent, outside the UK, the EU and Switzerland. Crash reports are collected from every player, so we can find and fix problems. Neither contains an email address, a name or an advertising identifier.

Players below the age of consent never have analytics collected.

The purchase service's reports

Unity keeps the purchase service's reports under its agreement with us. When you send a "Delete my data" request, we also ask Unity to delete what it holds under your Support ID.

Purchases

Your purchase history is held by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. We never see your card details, billing address or store account, and we cannot delete your store records; that is done through your Apple or Google account. Deleting the app and your cloud backup does not affect your ownership of anything you have bought: one-time unlocks can be restored on the same store account through the restore-purchases option in the game's settings after a reinstall.
